Frequently Asked Questions

Here you can find answers to common questions about the workout, reserving classes, and buying memberships. Contact us if you still can't find what you're looking for.

  • What class should we start with? What should we know before our first visit?
Our classes are open to all levels, but we highly recommend the Youth Beginner or Youth Confidence Workshop for first-timers! First-time families, please arrive 10-15 minutes early to check-in, store belongings, have hands wrapped, etc. We have cubbies for students to store their belongings during class. Though we aren't responsible for lost or stolen articles, cubbies are in plain sight and our students and staff are respectful of each other's personal belongings.
  • What does my child need to participate?
Handwraps are required to participate and can be purchased at the gym, in addition to mouthguards for sparring. We provide complimentary boxing glove rental, though students can feel free to bring their own. Our rental gloves are relatively new, and are cleaned and santizied thoroughly after every use. We also have bottled water and sports drinks available for purchase in the gym.
  • What should he/she wear?
Students should wear clothes they feel comfortable moving in. Attire typically worn for sports practices and P.E. classes are fine. Boxing shoes are acceptable, but not required.
  • Can I stay to watch the class?
We certainly welcome parents to sit on the sidelines and observe during classes. And though we love supportive parents, we ask that visiting families be mindful of the instruction time and not distract their child during class. We find that some parents stick around, though most like to use the time for themselves to grab a bite to eat, read, run errands, etc.
